Director of Laboratory Operations/Supervising Toxicologist
Marc joined Apollo Laboratories at the beginning of 2018. He has extensive experience in a variety of laboratory environments. Prior to joining Apollo, Marc started his professional career at National Medical Services (the first independent esoteric laboratory in the United States). He then worked with other laboratories large and small. This includes Analytic Bio-Chemistries (a small independent toxicology lab), Pharmchem and Laboratory Specialists, now Alere (both were/are SAMHSA certified facilities), Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) and built 4 independent urine toxicology laboratories.
Mr. McCain has been recognized as an expert witness for drug and intoxicant cases in The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He is extensively experienced in a wide variety of analytic techniques including LC/MSMS, GC/MS, GC, LC, a variety of automated platforms and even the antiquated technique of Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). He has been a technical supervisor for High Complexity Testing in laboratories certified by SAMHSA, The CAP, COLA and CLIA for over 30 years and been involved in testing for over 40 years..
His work and personal history has provided some invaluable insight into the importance of the testing performed at Apollo Laboratories. Marc received his Bachelor of Science in Forensic and Toxicological Chemistry from West Chester University of Pennsylvania too many years ago to remember (or admit to). He will state he has been doing drugs, professionally, for over 40 years.
